Sifo-Dyas was a Jedi Master who served as a member of the Jedi High Council during the last decades of the Galactic Republic.
Biography[]
Sifo-Dyas was born on the world of Dantooine in 72 BBY. He was identified early as being force sensitive and was sent to the Jedi Temple to become a Jedi under the tutelage of Jedi Master Yoda. Upon coming of age, Sifo-Dyas became the apprentice to Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi with whom he spent ten years traveling the galaxy. After passing the trials in 51 BBY, Sifo-Dyas began undertaking numerous diplomatic and humanitarian missions on his own.
In 41 BBY Sifo-Dyas took on his own apprentice, Nouk Kii and began training him to be a Jedi Knight. Sifo-Dyas conducted the investigation into the terrorist attacks on Dac in 40 BBY but ultimately allowed the mercenary warrior Qymaen Jai Sheelal to escape thus depriving the Jedi Order the opportunity to make the connection between the attacks and Nute Gunray. In spite of this, Sifo-Dyas was promoted to the level of Jedi Master and became a sitting member of the Jedi Council for having stopped further attacks on Dac.
